| Contemporary Time Witness Accumulations |
| |
Christian Korth’s work consists of fragments of memory, which he combines to form “contemporary time witness accumulations”.
Furniture, rubbish, or other everyday objects represent the fragments of memory from which his objects are made. He merges them together under transparent shrink foil wrapping. These “contemporary time witness accumulations” stand for themselves, while at the same time they refer to a set of short stories and incidents - like splinters of memory.
Korth’s constructions and reconstructions move slickly between obvious and hidden facets of everyday life. |
